FAQ: CMS/Acano updates

This FAQ is related to this article regarding updates to our CMS/Acano platform.

Q: Where do I find the management portal?
A: Open a browser window and navigate to this address: https://admin.videonor.com

Q: Where can I find documentation on how to use the management portal?
A: User guides for the management portal is located here. We will keep adding articles so let us know if there is something specific you are missing there.

Q: I want to keep using the CMA app to create VMRs and assign memberships.
A: Very sorry for the inconvenience, but that will not be possible. All these features, and more, are available via the management portal.

Q: What about existing PIN codes on my VMR? Will I have to change these?
A: No, these are kept as configured.

Q: Will the video address of my VMR change?
A: No, these are kept as they are.

Q: What about the VMRs currently showing in my VMR/cospace list when I am logged in to the CMA/Acano app?
A: CMA/Acano app users will retain their VMR/cospace memberships and the VMRs will show up in their VMR/cospace list as usual.

Q: How do I enable a user to perform in-call control on a VMR (like muting/unmuting a participant, removing a participant, etc.)?
A: Log in to the management portal and assign the user as a member of the VMR. The VMR will then show up in the VMR/cospace list and the user will be able to perform in-call control.

Q: How do I reset my password?
A: Navigate to the management portal and click “forgot password”. You will be prompted to enter your username/email address. You will then be sent instructions to reset your password. If you have trouble re-setting your password, please reach out to support@videonor.com. IMPORTANT: If you don’t receive an email, please check your junk-mail folder.

Q: Will I have to remember two sets of credentials? One for the CMA app and one for the management portal?
A: No, you don’t. The username/password used for the CMA app can be used to sign in to the management portal as well.

Q: Do I need to have a CMA/Acano app login to perform admin tasks on VMRs/cospaces and users?
A: No, you can be assigned an administration role in the new portal, allowing you to create/edit/delete VMRs and users there without ever needing to use the CMA/Acano app.

Q: I reset my password, but I still can’t sign in!
A: Please reach out to us at support@videonor.com and we will help you out. Please provide your username for the CMA / Acano app.

Q: Can a regular CMA/Acano app user still manage their own VMRs/spaces?
A: Yes. They can be assigned as “administrators” of one or more VMRs/spaces. This grants them the ability to change PINs, host/guest settings etc. on those VMRs. Note that they will still need to access the management portal to perform these tasks.

Q: What is the difference between a “company administrator” and a “VMR administrator”?
A: A company administrator can edit account users and VMRs, where the VMR administrator can only manage VMRs.

Q: How do I become a VMR administrator?
A: Another VMR administrator, or company administrator, must assign you as an administrator of the VMR you would like to manage.
